Graduate of Georgian Polytechnical Institute, Department of Mining Geology - Geology and prospecting of mineral deposits.  (1958)

Professional Qualification:
In 1966 defended a PhD thesis: "Fauna and Stratigraphy of the Liassic Sediments of the Dzirula Massif".
In 1992 defended a thesis for doctors degree "Stratigraphy of Lower Jurassic and Aalenian Sediments of Georgia"
